Chinese Five Spice Blend

Our blend is an aromatic spice mixture highly used and appreciated throughout China and Vietnam. Its traditional blend of ingredients represents the 5 primary tastes: bitter, sweet, sour, salt, and pungent. It is a very aromatic mix of herbs that adds a distinctive flavor to Chinese duck and pork dishes, poultry, fish, vegetables, soups, and stir fries, as well as rubs and meat marinades. Szechuan pepper, cinnamon, fennel, star anise and cloves give it a sweet, spicy and intense flavor.
